Many of us in Juneau focus on the negative aspects of our weather. While I can appreciate how things may at times feel too dark, wet, and cloud-covered, it is precisely these qualities that make life in Juneau so beautiful. My series of blue cyanotypes illustrate how we can find beauty in the fog, in the enriched contrasts of the wet landscape, and in the soft glow that shines through the cloud-filled sky. Instead of allowing this rainy landscape to define our disappointment, let us allow it to define the beauty we discover through the trials of our lives.
I invite you to see beauty in the blues.
Open Tuesday thru Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
